CELEBRATE 60 YEARS

Between 1964 and 1982, the Waterford Tankard was the unmistakable symbol for draught Guinness, making Waterford an enduring part of the history of Guinness. Honouring the original draught tankard, the new limited edition glass Tankard is your own piece of Guinness history.

The Tankard

Draught Guinness was launched in Ireland in 1964 backed by a fresh creative campaign featuring the Waterford Tankard and a new red, buff and black colour palette.
The tankard became an emblem and icon, replacing the bottle as the representation of Guinness in its advertising.

Irish craft and quality

The earliest tankard glasses were handblown by expert craftspeople in Waterford, Ireland and were designed to present Guinness in a highly stylised form. This collaboration led to an inseparable relationship between Guinness and the Waterford Tankard.

TANKARD REIMAGINED

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Waterford Tankard, we have reimagined this iconic glass in a contemporary style. This limited-edition piece, with only 265 units produced, commemorates the remarkable 265 years of Guinness. Each tankard is uniquely numbered on the base.
